What you are seeing is also the whole, uncropped truth (and nothing but)... As Godfrey suggested, one might also try to make the wet look, well, wetter, really... On the other hand, maybe I'm getting closer to one of the "big" goals, which is (in this case) to capture the true feeling of a cold and rainy day.
