Ahh yes. you did my trick, tho I also bent the little spring so the ball 
wouldn't go back in properly.

the wind lever has a little plastic thingy in the center that comes out, I 
pilled mine out but it won't stay in any more.
The lock screw (similar to the one on the shutter button but smaller)  is very 
tight on mine and I cannot move it at all.

 Found out that as well the hard way just like you did.
