Yes, it's beautiful. The gondola was not in operation when we were there. At least it didn't appear to be. We had permits to drive up and park at the top. The drive was a bit frightening as the guy at the wheel was a bit of a leadfoot, and the road is quite narrow. Didn't like that. But I did enjoy the view. When I arrived at about 3AM, the sky was blanketed with stars, and the nearly solid white band of the milky way bisected the blanket. Quite an experience.
