It's pretty much a no brainer, Walt.

But a couple things:

There's a slot in the grip that will hold the rubber
contacts cover that you will remove from the camera. I
only mention it because some have mentioned that they
didn't notice this.

Also, in operation, you may notice that either the
e-dials won't work on the camera or on the grip. I've
had this happen twice. This is because one of the
dials is interfering with the other. The manual for
the grip says:

'If the front e-dial or rear e-dial on either the
camera or battery grip is not clicked into place, the
dials may fail to operate. If the dials on the camera
do not operate, try turning the dials on the battery
grip slightly. Alternatively, if the dials on the
battery grip do not operate, try turning the dials on
the camera slightly.'
