Thanks to a court rulling here in australia. All dvd players must be able to play DVD's from other reagons. Sometimes the player comes unlocked, others come with an added sheet of paper on how to unlock the region codeing. Depending on the Player, the hidden menu that has the reagon unlock also has other goodies, like removethe copy protection placed on the video signal.
