If it's illegal, how can numerous businesses operating legally in the USA sell multi-region hardware without reaping the punishment for breaking the supposed law forbidding it?
When I buy a region 1 DVD and watch it on multi-region player or a region 1 player I am abiding by the license agreement. When I purchase a region 2 DVD and watch it on my multi-region player I am abiding by the license agreement. License agreements don't tell me what kind of hardware I must watch a DVD on.
