yes, this is a good lens. I have said it before, contrary to popular belief, the very early Pentax zoom lenses were excellent, albeit bulky, slow, and expensive at the time, lenses. I dont know when Pentax put out their first el-crapo zoom, but it wasnt in the screw or K series era, mostly likely that occurred in the late 70's M series era. jco
