People talk, because they are human beings and talking is hardwired into them. The psychology is fascinating. Apparently babies arrive in the world talking all languages at once (or at least all the sounds), what they learn is to forget how to do the ones they aren't using. Many people believe man's greatest invention was language, it isn't it is something we are born knowing how to do. Birds fly, people talk!
