Nah, it would tell them that they're being taken seriously, which they shouldn't be. Notice that they sent the message themselves and just cc'd their own lawyer (or *pretended* to have cc'd their lawyer). If they were serious they'd have contacted their lawyer first and had the *lawyer* send the message. They have no case and they know it, so they aren't wasting any money on a lawyer.
