It was a typical Spring day in Melbourne - the weather varied from cold and wet to warm and sunny - when Paul, Paul, Leon (who's middle name is Paul) and his wife Audrey met to talk about things Pentax.
Three camera bags and a suspicious looking cardboard box slowly showed their secrets as Pentax equipment floated across the table. The 4 camera bodies (a black MX with motordrive, MZ-3, Z1p and MZ-s) started to wear a variety of different lenses and accessories, as more equipment was discovered in the camera bags (and the no longer suspicious looking cardboard box). After all the equipment was all safely away, we all departed for a tour of Melbourne's city camera shops. The windows and cabinets of secondhand equipment were heavily scrutinised, but alas, there were no bargains to be had. The Pentax 500mm f4.5 in one store did attract a lot of attention however. Then having stretched lunch to over 2 and a half hours, Paul and Paul went back to work leaving Leon and Audrey to go to Vanbar Photographic Supplies to see what interesting items could be used to further increase the credit card repayments. A good time was had by all, and it is likely that the Melbourne members of the Pentax Discuss Mailing List will gather again to closely examine each other's equipment and with any luck create images with said wonderful gear.
