How about an Epson R-D1S? I am also yearning for a digital rangefinder, can't afford a Leica M-8, and had a chance to handle an Epson R-D1S some days ago. Its a very nice camera, if you can live with 6 megapixels. Besides, if you get a used R-D1 it can be updated to the same level of the R-D1S by loading the new firmware.
