Yeah, I never notice the strap entrails, and I have the same Tamarac  
straps that Rob referenced.. The clips are hanging there, but out of  
mind for me. However, I  usually leave the straps in place. It's only  
in the studio that I always detach it. Straps are a no-brainer. I  
don't think about them. They serve the singular purpose of preventing  
camera/ground contact.
