Thanks Bob W, Marnie, and Bruce for commenting yes, the two dogs are obviously very cued into each other and to their master! I like that photo too though I realised later that the focus is sharpest on the more distant dog and it might have been better on to have the dog in front sharpest. My favourite of these is actually the dogs running towards the camera http://www.pbase.com/kiwibiologist/image/76889603 - it captures the mood.
