That is really strange.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with replaying the old Passion story. 
I think every major religion has some kind of a holiday or event that is 
being played over and over again to keep the faithful in line, so to 
say. Gibson's interpretation was, hmmm, unusual. I haven't seen the film 
but I might one day. However I made a resolution to not buy and more of 
his stuff, 'cause he does not deserve even a penny of my money. This man 
is indeed full of disgrace.
