Yes, there's a tripod thread about 3/8 inch to the rear of the  
securing bolt on the Manfrotto adapter. (My tabletop tripod has been  
equipped with a Manfrotto RC2 QR adapter, however ... ;-)

I've had no problems with the Hakuba grips, but this is yards better  
made and does it for me.
