Mark, when you use the term "grabbing quick shots" I gather you weren't
using a tripod.(?)
Under exposure could account for some of the noise, of course, but I
feel this type of shot needs to be quite a bit sharper and considering
the glass used, am somewhat surprised it's not. I'm not necessarily
suggesting it can be successfully applied in PS. I think it would take
on a granular effect and still not reach the level you'd want.
