I was hoping there was something like an MX but with a K1000 meter in
it (at least the needle part).

Oh well. I think I'll probably just end up going with the MX as I
really think I'll like the size. Speaking of which, does anyone have
any photos with a K1000 and MX side-by-side? Thanks.
