Thanks for the comparison Fiso.
The DA 18-55mm is light and has the wide 28mm I miss now on digital.
Otherwise I see no use for it *for me*, I will use my old A/M/T primes and
the A70-210mm 4.0 + Tamron 70-150mm 2.8 soft focus zoom with the K10D.
Your test shows quite a drastic difference in quality even if comparing a
zoom to a prime lens is not fair :-)
As an idea, I could compare the DA 18-55mm lens to the A35-70mm or A28-135mm
zoom?

I only have the 'modern' kit-zoom DA 18-55AL to compare, but the SuperTak
55/1.8 wins at 1.8 against the DA at 5.6 on 55 mm....
