That's why I like to assemble my own, (desktops at least), and put the OS of my choice, (some MS Windows flavor to use the software I like, unfortunately). Now that the future is here, (vista), I'm going to be seriously evaluating Linex and WINE, I'm not too worried about being a generation behind on some of my "cutting edge" software, I already am. If it does what I need I'm happy, but it has to do what I need.
