because nearly all lenses over 135mm f.l. for the 35mm/aps format
are since the 1960's to keep the bulk down, even many so called
"macros",
& some of them are even pseudo-zoom telephotos.

What makes you think the Sigma 300/4 APO is a telephoto lens 8)
