Hmm. I don't know whether I qualify either.

But whether the DA50-200 is a 'consumer zoom' or not, given the  
definition, it seems quite a good performer and is nicely made, feels  
good. I haven't done much with mine yet beyond my first test photos  
with it, other than to pull out the tripod and do a set of  
comparisons against the other zooms in the range I've tried.

By the tests, it shows to be as good a performer as the best of those  
(A70-210 Macro, F100-300, FA80-320) at least, and better wide open  
than all of them. It also performs well when fitted to the Pentax-A  
Rear Converter 2x-S.
