Actually, Peter, I don't live in San Francisco. I live across the San Francisco Bay, in what is affectionately called the East Bay Hills. Often a totally different climate. FWIW, many of the homes in the East Bay Hills - in the Oakland area especially - were built as summer cottages by San Franciscans who wanted to get away from the oppressive summer fog in San Francisco.
