Im not anti-digital, Im anti-low image quality.
The reason I use some things old, some things
new is sometimes the old is better and sometimes
the new is better. I can get way better images
from my old 4x5/8x10 film cameras than any pentax
DSLR can achieve yet but I cannot get better image
quality from ANY old ntsc TV than what the new HDTVS
can provide. If my old TV was as good or
better than the new HDTVS you can bet I wouldnt
be using a new HDTV, but they just arent even close.
Its the new format of HDTV that is really making
the difference. Its 8-10 times the resolution of
the old ntsc signals and sets for widescreen movies and
thats what I am usually watching, either on DVD or
HD broadcasts.

At least I am consistent old TV, old stereo, old cameras. You argue
anti-digital photography vehemently, and then argue digital TV the same
way.

Right now I am listening to Doris Day on my 1979 stereo. However I will
use the modern stuff when it is more convenient and cheaper than the
old. Retro is fun.

I am neither a believer, nor a disbeliever, just poor. I actually
couldn't really afford that 15 bucks right now, but sometimes you just
have to stretch a bit. And you tell me I should have bought a $2000 home

theater system. <disgusted head shake>
