Why not use Adobe's DNG converter?  You can convert bunches of PEFs this way.  
Pentax allows only 1 at a time.

Horses for courses, I suppose, but I like the Pentax photo lab.  Mind you, I've 
never used Adobe (other than the DNG converter)... :-)
