Cute to see all those big toys! I'd say a few of 'em were lightened up too much - there's no black left in the shot when it's clear that there was darkness/black in the original scene. (Clue: In the histograms of the outdoor night shots, you'd expect the curve to hit the left end (or at least get very close) indicating that there is stuff in the photo that represents BLACK) Well crud. Now that I have typed all of that, I pulled down a copy that I could pull up in Photoshop and show the funkiness of the histogram - and it's displaying much darker in Photoshop than it is on my display in Firefox. (This is on a MAC for those who care or if it matters) Anyone know what gives there? Below is a link that shows the difference I'm seeing - on the left- hand side is a fraction of the file from within Photoshop, overlaid with the histogram from (again) Photoshop. On the right half is the Firefox screen that is right below Photoshop, and it is noticeably brighter/lighter. Washed-out, even. http://charles.robinsontwins.org/images/elephant.jpg -Charles -- Charles Robinson [EMAIL PROTECTED] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
