I would strongly recommend that if you are really interested in the K10D that you buy it from Pentax. While you might save money with the Samsung (this is not guaranteed) you will be at their mercy for support. Look at their web site and see how many firmware updates they have released for their cameras (last time I looked it was zero).
Do not expect that the Samsung will load Pentax firmware either. According to people on the dpreview forum the Samsung versions of the DS, DL, etc will not load the Pentax firmware. Check to see if they are happy about the support they are getting from Samsung and I think you will be more than willing to spend extra for a Pentax camera.
