I was at my local dealer today. They got 25 K10Ds in while I was
still out on the road. All were sold within few days, most to those
like me who had put our names on the notify list (they sold the one
allocated to me because I didn't respond within the time limit, no
problem as mine had already come in from Amazon.com).

They also got in 15 grips, and one was left in stock today. I tried
it on the body and liked it ... much nicer feel than the Canon 10D's
grip. Figured I could always sell it if I didn't use it, and they
gave it to me at the B&H Photo price. So now I have both body and
grip. I should get to actually trying it out by this evening...

The store owner's statement: they haven't seen this kind of interest
and activity in Pentax gear in at least a decade. They're selling
every single thing they have in Pentax stock faster than they can put
it on the shelf right now.
