great work, Marnie, I love the colors and the overall feeling.

However while El Capitan looks fine, Cathedral Rocks look somewhat
strange and unnatural to me, especially the part to the left from
Bridalveil Falls.

Thanks. :-) Yeah, that part could use more work. Essentially the lighting on
that was not good to begin with, top sort of blown out from light coming over
the top. That area I will work on more in the future. Also the trees on the
right that didn't turn into B&W very well, not and show up against the dark
rock. They need the most work. But right now that area is passable.

I must admit I got a lot of blown out rock shots. :-) At certain times of day
it was really hard to get a good shot. Like Half Dome is only really lit late
day and sunset. The rest of the day the light is to the back and side and it
just doesn't show up well at all. But I only had limited time so I shot at
times of day that were not optimum. Although I had read some stuff, I hadn't
realized until I was there that is a whole technique to shooting at Yosemite,
some
rocks only look good at certain times of the day and you have to time it
right.

Thanks for the comments, Marnie aka Doe
