You might also download Adobe Lightroom v4.1 Beta. It uses a different RAW conversion engine and might prove more enjoyable in use with K10D DNG files.
Yes, I was planning to head back on a more southerly route anyway, decided to dip all the way to the gulf and see if I wanted to spend time in New Orleans doing some photography. My intent was to miss the snow storm too. The city and the devastation of Katrina is too big, too much for me to do any work on without at least two or three weeks of being here and walking, absorbing. I could spend a week photographing just the little neighborhood I had dinner in. I did go to a photo gallery opening last evening ... there was some very good work on display. I have to head off the interstate now as I head west or I'll never get any photography in on this trip.
