I don't think I'd say that. MacOS-X is a true unix (although not
a monolithic kernel... Mach micro-kernel). It's just that NeXT (and later
MacOS-X) managed to get the GUI really nice and polished as opposed to X11
and its ilk. MacOS-X is *much* more like Linux than it is like Winders.
