...other than image quality, which I don't know yet.

I have read posts from people who handled a K10D for the first time, and
it sounds like suddenly the skies cleared, they talked with gods and
goddesses, and they understood the meaning of life. I am used to the
*ist D and PZ-1p. When I took the K10D out of the box I didn't have any
such reaction. I found it's ergonomics to be perfectly........adequate.

But I have to say that it did grow on me quickly once I started shooting
with it. Tonight I went out to take a few night comparison shots with
the K10D and the *ist D. Well, already I find the D antiquated. I now
realize how slow its electronics are. There is certainly much on the
K10D that Pentax did right.

I am still uncertain about the 4-way joystick. Paul is right that it is
easier to use than the one on the D. This is because it gives you a
click. But I rarely used the one on the D, because the things that I
changed often--ISO and drive mode--were on top. With the K10D, Pentax
forces me to use the joystick. This evening I have a bandage on the tip
of my thumb, and found it awkward.

The issue over the shutter button being hair-trigger was a false alarm.
It is fine for autofocusing first, then taking the picture. I don't know
how the newcomers over at dpreview got that one so wrong.

Anyway, this thing really has grown on me in a short time.
