I only now noticed - here is culprit. Do not use ACR autolevels. Just say no. If you want "auto look", shoot JPEG (or even better - RAW+ ). And another thing: in Pentax DLSRs , white balance should be set before shot even if you use RAW. And because these cameras have rather poor auto white balance, you better select it manually in menu.
----- I appreciate your comments, Bronek. And welcome. I used AutoLevels in CS2, not in ACR. I did not even know that ACR could do Autolevels. Shooting RAW, there should be no reason to select white balance beforehand. One can modify it in processing. Besides, as I mentioned, I shoved the white balance slider all over the place, and still got the blues.
