My first "top-of-the-line" Pentax was the PZ-1p. Then came the MZ-S. 
Next was the ist-D. 

I've ended up using the ist-D for a longer time than either of the 
other two cameras. I'm thrilled with the K10D (so far) but I expect to 
keep using my ist-D for quite some time still. Sans grip it's still a 
nifty little package that's ideal for traveling (especially as the AA 
battery power supply means I can get batteries anywhere).

I wouldn't be surprised if I kept on using the ist-D after I replace 
the K10D. In fact, if the K10D replacement takes both SD and CF cards, 
I'm sure that's what I'll do.
