I find it a bit smaller than I'd like without the grip. I'm loving it with the grip. Did 34 tabletop shots in the studio today, all at ISO 100 with the FA 50/1.4 at f11. The camera works great in X exposure mode with the studio strobes. Feels super in the hands. Shots are razor sharp at 100%.
