Well, your comment makes no sense to me ;-)) Paul described what was being shown in the photo, and I was curious where, amongst all that stuff, the firmware is stored. On the boards, in the ribbons, or elsewhere. I'm trying to get a sense of how much space the firmware takes up in the camera. If it's on a board or card, how big is it? How many megabytes does it take up?
Why do I ask? Well, I just woke up curious this morning, but also, I'm trying to understand why some digital cameras are so big compared to some film cameras. And, since film cameras have a larger mirror and mirror box, the firmware/software seemed that it might contribute to the size of the camera in some way. I am ignorant of such things and want to be less ignorant.
