Just a matter of saving it when it opens the thumbs, yes? ============ Yes. You can change things too, if you want. Like sharpness, white space, etc. It's all at the top, change before you save. It's pretty easy to figure out. And if you have trouble I am sure there are some instructions at the Canon site. I used it a lot before I got more into using the RAW convertor in Elements 3. You can also select all and save all, it does a batch convert and isn't that slow. Sometimes it's helpful to convert all the files just so you can look at them and see what you got (since looking at RAW files slows all programs down, because they have to extract the thumbnails). Then you can always reconvert one later and edit it if it needs editing.
I could upgrade to 3.0 for elements though, too. for the same reason as you are doing. ============= Actually, I just upgraded to 5 for the montage possibilities. Reviews were mixed at Amazon, but it appears a lot of the reviewers downloaded a trail copy where some of the options were disabled. It sounds like a combo of 3 (and 4) and the now defunct Adobe Photo Album. So I am skipping right over 4. (Currently I do have 3 which I like a great deal.) Elements 3 will take some getting used to though, Ann, it has two spaces: editing and organizing, whereas Elements 2 didn't. However, I personally think 3 is very good. You are a great source of good info, marnie! ann ============== Well, I may be the only other 300D (pssst Digital Rebel) owner on list. Cotty has a much higher end Canon and I think any other Canon users on list (who tend to hide, getting booed at and hissed at gets old :-)) do too. Get in touch with you about that link later, pretty busy right now trying to figure out what to print up.
