I've been shooting Pentax for over 30 years, Peter...
I tried the DL - it is too heavy for me with a tele lens on it especially.

when I first got a digi cam it was a powershot a80 - right for my pocket
book and
worked with my computer --

then I got the PRo-1 - it was cheaper than the ists and I already had
the software on my computer

It was a difficult learning curve for me as it was...
Then the PRo-1 got drowned and I ordered the DL - which I found not too
user friendly -
also software and hardware issues with computer. I returned it right
away and bought a
refurbished Pro-1.
computer wise -
I now have a dell dimension c521 replacing my 6 year old dell that had
windows 98 on it and is dying.
I bought and rejected the Pentax digi while I still had the old
machine... and no money to upgrade.

Then I won a few hundred dollars on a lottery ticket I shared with a
friend and could buy the
new computer.

Sorry you asked???

I'm trying to keep learning new things to a snails pace because I cant
absorb stuff fast enough,

Once I swung to Canon for the first digital I was hooked. But I still
have my kx and my lx .
maybe I'll get to use them again someday.
