I started to write a mail asking a number of questions, which I gradually 
answered myself as I wrote it. 8-)  The segmented manner of the exposure has 
produced a lot of artefacts that one would not expect in a "normal" exposure of 
this type and makes one look at it much more carefully, in a technical sense.  
I agree that there are a number of areas that show better definition than one 
would expect, too.

I hope you have the time to produce a few more of these gems in the future.  
Not only a useful archive of the area but interesting to look at on multiple 
levels.
