Sure is a different take on a sunset.

The foreground comes across as snow.

The White Sand area is a tad weird. Right out in the middle of one of New
Mexico's flat plains is a whole section of sand dunes. With Yucca plants and
weeds and things. People go out there to play. Take things big saucers and the
kids slide down the hills. I was hoping to shoot undisturbed sand dunes, but
the
day I went there was water on top of some dunes, and the mosquitos were out in
force. In fact, only the front of the road was open.

So I only got to shoot in areas that already had a lot of people walking
through. That area was by the side of the road; I pulled over. It is very fine,
very white sand. Finer than a beach.
