This is interesting. Purple fringing and/or sensor blooming are my main
issues with my two long lens setups. Thanks for bringing the good news Paul.

BTW, I frequently saw some purple fringing when using this combo with  
the *istD at high ISO. I have yet to see fringing on any K10D shots,  
which now number around 400.
