Thanks for that, it answers what I needed to know, including that by the 
time I am ready to build, the world may have changed again.

I want this machime primarily as a photolab work station. The work I am 
doing in the studio involves batch processing hundreds of files at a 
time before sending them to the printer, so the faster the machine, the 
better.
I would be making sure that the software that I want to use will run on 
a 64bit system.
