Rick - I don't often comment on other folks work, but in this case I think I might have something constructive to offer.
There is something good buried in that shot. I think the fence creates a leading line to the upper left and the tables create a leading line in an opposing direction. My eye is confused, doesn't quite no where to go. Have you considered a tighter crop? Perhaps bring in the left hand margin almost even with the left edge of the most forward table.
