No, the K10D is a P-TTL model and wouldn't work with the current Pentax 
flashes if Pentax changed the protocol. It just means that Sigma's 
guesses as to how P-TTL works weren't good enough and they have to 
upgrade to the guesses known to work with the K10D.

This is why I don't buy Sigma flashes.
