Adam has responded about the differences. I have a similar impression,
although I never used the A myself.

Just in case: I do not see any of the said lenses at KEH right now.
There is a bunch of 70-200 F and one 70-210 F4-5.6 TAKUMAR F - 
Both are as far as I understand are completely different beasts from 
those you are asking about (that's why they are cheap),
and IIRC, at least the latter one is not SMC.

The same story is with the MF lenses: they have only
70-200 F4 TAKUMAR A. (non-SMC, if I am correct).

When I was trying to figure it out for myself - about a year ago, -
my conclusion that of all Pentax lenses in the range 70(80) - 200(210)
only 70-210 F SMC and 70-210 A SMC are good performers, and the rest
are not worth much attention.
