I'm with Shel on this. I rarely shoot faster than 800 with the *istD, and, reassuringly, I see a very nice rendering at 800 with the K10D. Yet the rendering of noise with the new camera is much more like film grain one might expect. I might find myself shooting more 1600 BW with this camera than I have with the D.
