during the time of the Derg in Ethiopia the regime took a dislike to 'pointy-headed intellectuals' who made statements like that. One of the things they took pleasure in doing was saying to their political prisoners "This, my friend, is the objective reality" then shooting them through the head. There is quite a simple test for people who claim that reality is subjective. To find out if they really (objectively!) believe it, hand them a revolver and invite them to play Russian roulette.
