I'm sorry to hear this Dave. I know how it feels.

The last couple of weeks I've had a stray coming to my doorstep. He(?) is
very shy. I've been feeding him for some days, knowing that he does not have
a home. It is not a replacement for my late dog Ludvik, but it feels good to
look after the poor chap. I haven’t decided if I'm going to ask him inside
as a pet yet...

Subject: Said good bye to Kelly today, A sad cat shot

Had to say good bye to our 16 year old black and white cat, Kelly, today.

Kelly had been showing her age the last 10 months or so, careful
stairs, lots of sleep, but still wanted to come outside with us and
hang.

The last few days, she would not eat or drink, and could barely walk.

Took her to the vet this morning and the diognosis was kidney failure.
Nothing he could do.

Here is a shot from about a year ago, just as she was slowing down.

The calico(Boo)and Kelly are/were snuggle buddies. Boo and the rest
will miss her.

I have not told my daughter yet, shes at work. Erin "bought" her as a
kitten, from a farm my wife worked at in 1990 for $2.00. She polished
some apples for the $2.00 then gave it back.:-)
We tried to teach her at an early age about responsibilities, money
etc. It worked.

Thanks for listening

Dave
