Well, you know, the thing about Ken is, he would never patronise his
readers. For example, he would never say anything like

"Nikon labels ISO 3,200 as "H" so most people won't use it. This is
because experienced photographers know ISO 3,200 is supposed to look
grainy, but most people don't. Nikon (and Canon) hide these very fast
settings with these code names so normal people won't use them "

or

"Idiot Modes: [...] (I never use these)."

or

"The D40 lacks depth-of-field preview and front-panel FUNC buttons. No
big deal, since 99% of the people who will buy the D40 have no idea
what these are,"

"and today we all use the LCD for looking at DOF anyway."

"The DOF button was a relic from film cameras: nice to have, but
hardly critical."

"I'm suggesting the D40 to my friends"

So basically, Ken thinks his friends are idiots.

And I suppose they probably are, if Ken is one of their friends.
