I try to have biult-in hoods or hoods on or with each lens. A hood is
important. An excellent lens can produce horrible photographe, if there is a
flare to ruin the result. This is photography - every little thing in a long
process counts, in the final result.

I do on all of the lenses that get any regular use.  I've got some
lenses in the drawer that don't get used often and that I also don't
have hoods for.  Even when they get used, though, it's usually not in
the "quick change" scenario.
