Sad and frustrating news: Friday night after closing for the day, Reed's Cameras & Imaging, my former employer, shut down all but the lab portion of the store. I have no idea what they're going to do with all the other stuff still on the shelves there, as Mike is still evaluating his options.
To those who ordered their K10D cameras through me, Mike told me today he is still working to get them for you (and he better, because my own K10D is in that order!!), but that he'll have a more definitive answer on that by the end of this coming week. I'll post any updates I get, but you may want to email him yourself. I am so deeply and immensely sorry for the mess I got everyone into. I had no inkling anything like this was going to happen, just as I had no idea I was going to be let go, and apparently no one else did either. I am incredibly sad right now, mostly for my former coworkers, who were like family to me. I still trust Mike to try to do the right thing for everyone who entrusted their deposits with him. Hell, I currently have three items ordered through him, including the K10D, a Velbon head and an OmniBounce for my flash. He said he's working to fill all orders placed before the, uh, repurposing of the store (I'm not sure how else to describe it). When you write him, please keep in mind he is incredibly busy this weekend with all the work involved in setting up the store for its new role. I understand that we all want info asap, but it's going to take time for him to figure everything out. Please try to be patient. If you want the store's phone number, I can give you that off-list.
